EUROPEAN SCHOOL PARLIAMENT

..

What does this project entail?
Our main goal is to introduce the school Parliament principles in our secondary students (ages 12 to 16) in our schools, students from different levels that will be given the chance to become part of the everyday school decisions, such as extracurricular activities, community service projects, charities campaigns, environmental issues, sport competitions, contests participation, or ideas to improve the school environment among others.
In the long run, our objective is to involve all our school classes in School parliament. Students are given the opportunity to discuss their own proposals with the class teacher, who will guide and encourage the critical thinking of their students when studying the proposals. The parliamentarians for each class will be chosen by their peers and will be renewed annually.
Students from secondary Education take part in the mobilities to Turkey, Cyprus and Romania, so that they can interact, learn from the democratic methods that are working on each school and develop an environmental project that will be carried out by members of each School Parliament.
