Mobility in Cyprus: This is Working!
The mobility in Cyprus took place in Limassol at our school, "Tsireio Gymnasio," from the 16th to the 18th of October. Since we wanted to offer our partners the best hospitality possible and also promote the project's objectives, we began preparing months in advance.

Before the mobility, we had online meetings with our partners, and both students and teachers were very excited to meet in person. Finally, the day they would meet arrived!
First Day – 16/10/2024: We started with a welcoming ceremony for our partners, which included a warm speech from the Vice Principal of our school, along with traditional songs and dances. Afterwards, our students gave the guests a tour of the school facilities, which ended in the teachers' lobby, where the Parents Association had prepared a traditional Cypriot breakfast for them. Then, the students played some ice-breaking games to help them get to know each other before we got on the bus and headed to the Municipality of Limassol to have a meeting with the Mayor. There, we were pleasantly surprised: employees of the Municipality and municipal councilors welcomed us with songs, violins, and lutes, and then invited our partners—both students and teachers—to join in their dance. The meeting with the Mayor was pleasant, constructive, and informative. It was followed by a tour of the city center and lunch at the old harbor square and the Marina of Limassol. Of course, the day couldn't end without a wonderful barbecue on the beach, right next to the waves
Later, our group traveled to the capital of our island, Nicosia. There, after a guided tour of the city center, they had lunch on the famous Ledra Street. But the highlight of the day was the visit to the House of Representatives, where, after being shown around the premises, they had the honor of being welcomed by the Speaker of the House in her office and attending a session of Parliament.https://www.instagram.com/reel/DBSCF7Ai2U5/?igsh=bDQwbHhvc2lqMWV0

Second Day - 17/10/2024: The day started with presentations from the schools, and then the students were divided in interracial groups for the 'Environmental Committee' workshop, where they discussed their schools' environmental initiatives while also proposing new actions.

Of course, the Parents' Association had prepared a wonderful party for our guests, with dancing and singing, at the end of which the participation certificates were awarded.

Third Day - 18/10/2024: For the final day, we had organized a visit to the Akrotiri Environmental Center, where students and teachers were guided through the building's facilities, watched presentations, and participated in workshops about the Akrotiri wetlands and the production of forest and aromatic plants. From there, they were taken to the picturesque village of Omodos to experience the island's culture and enjoy a traditional meal at a local tavern. After three beautiful days of collaboration, building friendships, and gaining knowledge and skills, the mobility came to an end. The farewell was difficult and emotional. The conclusion of this beautiful encounter was... a joyfull party in the schoolyard with free food, songs, and dances, joined by the Parents' Association members, students, and teachers from our school.
